After getting a comedy career started in Phoenix, Arizona, I moved to the city of my birth, Philadelphia to go for the big time on the East Coast. I tasted some success on the stage as a comic and an actor, even as a writer and producer. I hit the age of 40 and decided to do something more conservative for the future so I sold my home, moved to Florida and bought a diner. The diner did me well for a while, but I sold it and am back to persuing what I love the most, making people laugh, encouraging new fresh talent to perfect their craft, and procurring venues for these young comics to perform their craft. I have a number of venues under contract in South Florida to produce my comedy show, "Stevie D's Comedy Night", and have been very fortunate to have met and befriended some of the areas top young comics, and let me tell you, there is some great talented comics in this area.I have been fortunate enough to be able to book and work with Lisa Corrao, Oni Perez, Richie LaLa, Eugene Meaux, Shon Greene, just to name a few. And I have been doubly blessed to have booked and worked with new comers Mario Mateo, Gene Harding, Phoenix, Jean Antionne, and a slew of other new and talented young comics. It has been a real treat to watch these young comics blossom as their talents really come into shape. We have been putting on shows all over Broward and Dade counties to great responses from the audiences we have been priveleged to entertain. The "Stevie D's Comedy Night" brand is really starting to take off, and I owe the success of these shows to the funny comedians, who I consider my friends, that have been kicking serious ass on stage. And the after show parties have been a lot of fun too!!!!
