About Me

Brad Hinton, whether performing with his seven-piece roots collective Wissahickon Chicken Shack, accompanying Philadelphia musicians or singing his own passionate songs, does so with a sincere heart and tasteful touch. In addition to Wissahickon Chicken Shack, Brad can be found playing bluegrass dobro with Mason Porter and Manatawny Creek Ramblers, atmospheric lap steel with Josh Park, Hezekiah Jones and Psalmships, honky-tonk electric guitar with Joe D’Amico, and acoustic guitar in the Whippoorwills, a duo with Papertrees’ Allison Polans. The Brad Hinton Band includes a number of these talented Philadelphia folk artists. In addition to Brad’s reputation as a multi-instrumentalist, he is also known for his clear tenor and graceful vocal harmonies. His first official solo release, Mourning Dove, is due out this summer.
