After an internal needs assessment the custom program included a product overview and unique selling points, industry landscape flyover highlighting recent mergers and shifts from traditional advertising into the expanding online presence. Subcontract training vendors were incorporated into the program adding professional advertising sales and selling cycle techniques. Additionally, representatives from industry measurement tools such as Neilson and ComScore educated the sales team on the power of accurate accounting of successful campaigns through out the online advertising space. • Assisted the VP of Marketing with the growth of the group from 2 to 6 marketing specialists. • Researched and recommended traditional advertising outlets as an effective tool to increase brand awareness and depth of product offerings created by the merger which now featured display advertising across 2000 + partner sites, email campaigns, search optimization and full service in-house creative resources. Vendare Group, Sherman Oaks, CA 10/04 thru 3/05 Trade Show and Events Manager • First Corporate Marketing hire into the newly merged Vendare Group, a conglomerate of IdeaLab private entities all serving the online advertising space. • The immediate tasked emphasized during the selection process was to develop a significant presence during the Ad:Tech 2004 New York conference, 4 weeks after hire date. • Utilizing vast relationships with network of event and promotional vendors, I quickly developed collateral, promotional SWAG, corporate branded apparel and an impressive 10 x 20 booth presence that emphasized the newly merged organization while still promoting the previous successful brands. This imperative task was necessary as not to confuse existing accounts with the new corporate identity while still beginning to develop the power of the merged brands and the capacity now brought to the rapidly changing playing field. • Developed the 2005 525k trade show and events budget, leveraging advertising industry events such as, 3 - Ad:Tech conferences, 2 – OMMA industry networking events and 4 - iMedia major regional events. In addition to these well established conferences, I simultaneously created a smaller niche specific program that fueled our channel marketing strategy, one of the 2005 KRA’s. • Managed all event vendors from booth design and storage to all on-floor support needs, electric, AV and numerous other vendors critical to a successful event presence. • Managed corporate moral programs and events, such as, weekly and monthly sales incentive program, corporate themed outings to races and bowling, holiday party and off site strategy meetings.MetaTV/TV Works, Mill Valley, CA 7/00 thru 10/03 Marketing Manager, promoted from Trade Show, Events and Training Manager Technology Company specializing in the emerging interactive television industry. • Managed $570K trade show/events budget. Developed exhibit calendar that included The Western Cable Show, National Cable Show, NAB, CTAM, NATPE and IBC. • Managed the design and creation of 3 exhibit booths including a fully customized 50 x 30 island featuring 2 conference rooms, a tech room, 10 demo pods, theater and reception area. • Managed complete show presence including all vendors, from transportation and set-up crews to furniture and floral, without the use of any third-party management. • Managed all show promotions, parties, suites and lead generation and distribution processes. • Managed show partnerships with corporations such as Liberate, Microsoft, OpenTV and Motorola.
