This is Itation Sound's Junglist Department, founded by Nickel B of Itation Sound in 2006. Big up all Drum and Bass, Jungle, Ragga, and Dancehall massive. While we are a roots reggae soundsystem, we also deal with all sorts of other types of music. Nickel B started in 1996 as a jungle, hip hop, and reggae selector and now presents some brand new remixes.ITATION SOUND BIO:
Originally based out of Burlington Vermont, the five-man crew consists of Dread Lion, Tosheba, Nickel B, Selah, and Heartical Dan. Itation Sound has been blazin' up the reggae scene since the end of 1998, performing everywhere from Arizona to Amsterdam.Nickel B was a nightclub selector from Burlington known for his style of scratching, mixing, and remixing dancehall, reggae, and hip hop. After appearing several times as a guest on Dread Lions radio show Nickel B became an official member of Itation Sound.
Having the opportunity as being the house soundsystem for the local reggae club, Itation has opened up for such artists as Capleton, Jimmy Cliff, Sizzla, Wayne Wonder, Beenie Man, Israel Vibration, Buju Banton, The Wailers, Warrior King, Mikey Dread, Meditations, Sanchez, Rupee, The Wu-Tang Clan, Culture, Sean Paul, Steel Pulse, Burning Spear, T.O.K., Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Luciano, and Anthony B. Itation has also promoted gigs for artists Barrington Levy, Delly Ranx, Mega Banton, and Tony Rebel.
The soundsystem has over 50 popular CDs in circulation around the world including Tony Rebel live on Itation Sound, Dubplate Conqueror, and live juggling CDs. Our mission is to provide uplifting and educational entertainment for the reggae massive.
