About Me

The musical partnership of these five individuals started in 2001. What began as a bit of a jam session to have a laugh and a few 'cervezas'… ended up in with us actually believing we could get filthy rich, ride in Cadillacs, wear expensive boots and live in a house full of naked women like in those videos by Kiss and Aerosmith we'd seen in our teenaged years. Together with our hangovers we got a reality check: We had to make do with playing in a few bars around Alicante and the surroundings. Hey it ain’t too bad at all!Washout singer Toni Miles worked as a bartender in a Camden Town massage parlour in London and on Sundays he entertained the few patrons with ballads, boogies and blues. One rainy night, some guys from Spain convinced him to move there and sing with them. Sick and tired of being in the gutter, he decided to make the move. He then drowned his sorrows in whisky and gin while singing for hard rock band ‘Pisotón’ back in 1992, a tour de force from which his voice never really recovered.Infected with the rock’n’roll virus, bassist J.J. Domenech and drummer John Arias, two siamese twins separated at birth, had robbed petrol stations and corner shops to raise some money and buy the cheapest instruments available. Which turned out to be a bass guitar and a drum kit. They gambled to the highest card to see who owned what, then played in rock 'n' roll renegades ‘Correcaminos’ and stoner rock giants ‘Earth’ for quite a few years. When they’re drunk, they claim they met Free’s Andy Fraser and Simon Kirke, and also Ronnie Laine and Kenny Jones, who showed them a few tricks… but no-one believes them.Maverick organist Bruno Gallego grew up in a boarding school and could play Bach’s Toccata & Fugue in D Minor at the tender age of 9 years. Later, he was bullied relentlessly at high-school until one day he found Deep Purple’s In Rock and Booker T. and The MG’s Green Onions in his dead uncle’s inherited record collection… and that changed his life changed. Around 1994, psych rockers The Black Crabs benefited from his terrific skills and endless mojo. His life motto is: “Risas sí, paranoias no”. Now that’s a motto if I ever heard one.We found blues guitarist Pepe Delgado on a gravel road, trying to hitch a ride with an old, ragged Telecaster in his hand and no money in his pockets… Nobody knows where he comes from and nobody knows where he’s going… His real identity is a mystery. The only fact is he’s here and he’s here to stay. In alcohol-fuelled dreams, he keeps repeating names like Peter Green, Rory Gallagher and Billy Gibbons. Then he wakes up and does not remember a thing. If you know this man, please inform the authorities. If everything goes according to plan, which would be a real exception, our new CD will be released very soon … As yet further proof of our efficiency, it was recorded last May in Alicante with the invaluable help of sixth member and sound engineer Joe Walls (Josete Paredes) but so far we only seem to have the cover! In the summer of 2007 our Bassist left the band and started a songwriter career in a swamp near his home.
