Late 2005, Milan: when Elio and René met for the first time, they knew they had to make music together! Using a drumcomputer they made some songs, but knew that this was not the way to go. They wanted more, they wanted to salute the mighty Sabbath and Sleep, they wanted to create a Stoner/Doom combo so heavy it would give you back problems! Fireface was born.
René returned to the Netherlands and started to work on his drumming skills and after just 3 months of drumming he flew back to Milan. Elio and René had their first rehearsal, resulting in the very first Fireface song: " Raw Desert Session".
When René returned to the Netherlands again, they kept exchanging ideas through the mail, also a second rehearsal was planned. René once again returned to Milano and with nothing more than a 4-track recorder, their first demo was recorded. " Raw Desert Session" was re-recorded and was renamed into "Hangman", 3 new pieces were created as well: "Mystic Waters", "Celestial Invocation " and " Kraken". In April 2007, Jos' joined the band to include his subsonic destruction in the future.
In October 2007 Elio and René decided to get back in action and to write some new songs. In just 5 days 3 new songs were written and rehearsed! Also a cover version of Death Row (of one of the coolest bands ever: Pentagram) was rehearsed. In those same 5 days René recorded all the drumtracks. The subsequent months Elio and René were working as fast as they possibly could to finish al the remaining demo tracks. Expect some new dark tracks and even some vocal experimentation!
