About Me

HI, I'm Karen Eliot. I produce and present Radio Eliot. Radio is an adventure. I believe in radio as a form of art. With my program I want to explore the possibilities of radio, the limits of being on the air. I don't do this alone. Every broadcast I invite fellow artists to make a radio show for me. They can be theatre directors, choreographers, writers, musicians, philosophers, actors, visual artists,... Basically anybody who's doing something interesting. I ask them to research what radio can mean for them. I want them to take up the confrontation between the medium radio and their own art.Next to my invitations for new productions, I'm also always on the lookout for existing audio and radio experiments, from the past and the present. If I come across anything truly interesting, I try to broadcast it. The show is on every two weeks. Apart from our broadcasts here, you can find us on the webradio of FM Brussel (www.fmbrussel.be), and on sundayevenings we're live on the air on Radio Scorpio (Leuven) 20 o'clock sharp. We're on the air every two weeks. So I hope you enjoy our little adventures in the air, stay tuned!..
