About Me

A Wee Bit About Me!!
I'm an acoustic singer/songwriter and have been writing songs since the age of 14. In the past 6 years since then I've been writing about things that matter to me, things I see and hear or things that wind me up!
In October 2006 I played my first ever solo gig to a packet crowd @ The Vale bar in Glasgow..
In December 2008 I played my final live gig to a very welcoming crowd at The Butterfly & The Pig.
Ending some things is necessary to move on and succeed in life...
Thanks to everyone who has supported me while playing in Glasgow, I am eternally grateful to you all (you know who you are)..
Thank you for stopping by..
Lynne...x
Reviews!!
"Lynne McIntosh doing her Joss Stone thing...but much better!"
Janice Forsyth, BBC Radio Scotland
"Lynne McIntosh is a relative newcomer to the Glasgow stage. She looks delicate but determined. Despite suffering from a cold, her voice moves us. No problem with the songs either with the tender "Sleep Tonight" and the altogether more aggressive "Boxed In" being of particular note. There is an interesting point to be made here. Bluesbunny has seen many singer songwriters lately during his forays into the Glasgow night. However, there have not been very many performers on show. The money might well be in the publishing deal but to fill seats you need to sell yourself to the crowd. Ms McIntosh is from Clydebank apparently and has actually studied with the likes of Carol Laula. It showed in her performance. She even remembered to bring along CDs of her songs to sell. The potential is there so we think that it is a fair bet that we shall all be hearing more of her."

"Solo acoustic acts usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to gigs & it's kind of taken for granted that everyone goes to the bar when the girl with the guitar gets up on stage... no so tonight.
As soon as Lynne opened her mouth tonight and began to unleash her amazing talent upon the crowd people shut up and listened. They didn't go to the bar and they didn't talk loudly to their mates, some may have even refrained from answering the call of nature! Nobody wanted to miss a second. This was the best kept secret in Glasgow tonight and we, the lucky few to be party to it stood, as we all did, in silence and were treated to the kind of commanding performance that can only for so long be contained by the likes of Capitol's intimate surroundings.
In my time as a Live Engineer i have seen literally hundreds of bands & acoustic acts. So naturally it goes without saying that a wee lassie armed only with an acoustic guitar would have to be something really special to make me sit up and take notice.... That is exactly what Lynne McIntosh is.
It is only a matter of time before the chance to see Lynne up close and personal will be gone for good as there is no doubt that she is destined for greater things. So if she's early on the bill, GET - THERE - EARLY!- otherwise you will, most likely be missing the best act of the night!"
