About Me

My name is Rachel, and you have stumbled upon some of my music. That's awesome! Here are some fun facts, just for you:
• I started my first girl rock band when I was 13. We made music and abused distortion pedals throughout most of high school, and we had so much fun.
• All of my high school dreams came true when the Pixies reunited for long enough for me to see them play live. Thanks, Pixies.
• I am a Sagittarius. Yeah, I know this is totally meaningless, but it does count as a fun fact. Probably. SAGITTARIUS!
• I just finished getting my Bachelor of Music from the Purchase College Conservatory of Music with a concentration in Studio Composition (best program ever?). That was a barely comprehensible sentence.
• I am finally recording my first full length album right now and having a really great experience with it. Check out Drawing Number One Productions and Eucalyptus Productions !
• I love to design and build websites for people. You can investigate this further here if that's what you're into right now. I'm not going to stop you.
• One of my favorite guitars to play is the Eastwood Airline, but I tend to stick to my trusty old Telecaster... she is a lovely Sage Green Metallic and we talk about feelings.
• Delay pedals are dreamy.
• I am working on a side project called Moonbear with Andrew Futral of the lovely Age of Rockets
• The EP I currently have for sale is a collection of songs I wrote and recorded during my time at Purchase, spanning about four years.
• You can hear me singing on some records by Toby Goodshank, Apse, Arms and Legs, Michael Greenberg, and Kyle Gilbride. All of these people inspire me and I am so grateful to have been a part of their work.
• I love to play shows, which I do with a wonderful band whenever possible. Our altername is sometimes Field Mouse... sometimes.
• I also love hearing from you. Get in touch!
