Capturing the raw power of a grassroots hip-hop movement, the award-winning documentary INSIDE THE CIRCLE tells the story of two strikingly talented b-boys, Josh and Omar, former best friends who become rivals when they join competing dance crews. Immersed in the b-boy culture of defiant creativity, Omar rises to international renown, while Josh tangles with the law. Both of them struggle to keep dance at the center of their lives, and the "B-Boy City" competitive events thrown by visionary street dancer Romeo Navarro serve as emotional milestones in their journey to adulthood.

"Amazingly good...
This is one of those films that every young person in America needs to see, as you sit and watch two equally talented guys go down two very different roads... It breaks your heart to watch – but also delivers on the positivity. And yet, the film isn't all sunshine and tulips. It's got an edge to it. It's almost got this whole real-life Bad News bears thing going on. And I simply loved it."

Ain't It Cool News
"...All told, this film was chock full of amazing dancing, music and a story that at first seems very simple, but evolves into an engrossing tale of three young men trying to get their lives together and live out their dreams. Easily the single most inspirational and gripping film of its kind I've seen in quite some time."

"A solid, absorbing documentary about two Texas b-boys that not only features the most sizzling breakdancing to be seen on the big or small screen, but also does the only lucid job I've yet encountered of explaining the aesthetic of this street art without diluting its power... INSIDE THE CIRCLE deserves broad theatrical distribution; as moviemaking it shames most of the films (such as Rize) that have covered the same asphalt turf."
Michael Sragow, Baltimore Sun
"FIND THIS MOVIE AND WATCH IT. You won't believe what you are seeing. The story is great and the competitions will have you gasping for more..."

"The hip-hop in the film is a far cry from mainstream rap and hip hop, which are often stereotyped in negative ways. One b-boy sets the record straights: "hip hop is poor, hip hop is heart, hip hop is acceptance, hip hop is love." Throughout Inside the Circle, we see examples of hip hop as all of these things... Watching the film, it's easy to feel incredibly under-committed to your own goals and priorities in life: these kids faced with "hard" lives are able to rise up and devote themselves to something they truly love...
[INSIDE THE CIRCLE is] everything a documentary should be: fascinating, heartbreaking, and ultimately inspiring."

"Definitely one of the best I’ve seen... focuses on a dope story, and the characters shine through... real life stories of the trials and tribulations of the b-boy lifestyle."
CROS1, Freestyle Session
"What can be said about a movie that hits the nail on the head about what we do? And at the same time captures the sacrifices & struggles that we face outside of the dance? If you want a sense of what we do and how we FEEL about what we do this is essential viewing. DON'T MISS IT!!! A brilliant movie. Kudos to all those involved. A+++."
DJ Renegade (UK)
"If you want to see hip hop alive today, check out INSIDE THE CIRCLE - the story of mad crazy bboy crews striving and surviving in the Texas backwater."
Charlie Ahearn, Director, Wild Style
"A beautiful story... I was touched by the film."
Paulskee, Out for Fame
"Lyrical, authentic & inspiring... not to be missed!"
