Performing and recording artist Buffy Marie founded DC Valentine in early 2006 with the intention of shattering current pop artist stereotypes and creating a sound and style that is as exciting as it is genuine. The result is a driving dance sound that crosses genre boundaries and delivers real emotional content with contagious hooks that stick.

DC Valentine performs live at Rock-n-Roll Hotel on Thursday February 19, 2009 as part of the "Have a Heart, Save a Life" suicide prevention event benefitting AAS. The show features choreography by Juli Calderon and Maurice Johnson, with dance performances by Culture Shock and DCypher Dance! Heart inspired art, donated both locally and nationally, will be displayed in a silent auction with proceeds going to AAS.
