..I'm Jo and living in Belgium. I work in a school with children who have severe social problems and conduct disorders. We try to help them with a great team.ROCKING IN A FREE WORLD.In free time I'm a musician (bass guitar)in a local band that called LADYDAY. It's a petty the band stopped to play in may 2008. I play also in a coverband and The MudGang.My music roots as guitar and bass-player is in the 80's with MORE ACTION, a local political punk band influenced by the Pistols, Brassers, Crass, DAF, Red Zebra, The Clash and The Kids. In 1983 we started THE MUD GANG. Rockabilly, psychobilly and garage-rock was the main-stream underground music. Bands as The Gun Club, The Cramps, Dream Syndicate, B52's e.s.o were popular. This band was very popular in our city Ghent. But we did also great things even in Amsterdam e.o. places in Belgium, even 1 time in France. Highpoint was playing with the great star IGGY POP in the Brielpoort (Deinze). In the 90's I played with rockrally-winners ZE NOIZ. Frontman was Bart VanDenBossche and the great guitarplayer Zaman (Frank Haelman)...two creative guys! This was an opportunity and great experience for me to play in one of the best bands I ever played. Later I was also member of THE PINK FLOWERS but I stopped playing music because of private reasons. In 2004 we had a reunion with Ze Noiz and the frontman was Jo Smeets (ex-Sweater). This was the trigger for me to start again playing bass and searching a new band. In our school we started a coverband that calls School In the Gang. Frank Zaman, a good friend of mine told about Joris. I started then playing bass in the band of Joris and Jeroen called LADYDAY. Also Bart Lafere enjoyed the band thanks to Zaman. We did in 2007 and 2008 different gigs...watch the MySpace LADYDAY-site. Joris, the singer-songwriter, decided to quit the band. In december 2007 we started again with our garageband THE MUDGANG. Luc (now also bass in TE Gunn and in the past Soapstone), Maarten (Pornorama,TEGunn) and Michel Vanneste(TEGunn, Soapstone) are the members of the reunionband. Also Steven Janssens (ex-Mudgang, Whodads, Daan, The Stiffs, e.o. bands) came into the band! SAVE NATURE!I work also for free in an environmental organisation. In practice I organise activities for schoolchildren and I'm also guide in a nature reservation. Don't let raw capitalism rule over the world and let's think green and social. MY IDEAS ABOUT THE WORLD:ecological and social... Quote: rock'n roll is NOT a religion for me but an individual way of living...just be yourself! Hate: racism and any kind of collective madness (hooliganism, sectarianism e.o.).
