One of the most sought after guitar instructors in Connecticut, a member of the Rock House teaching staff, author and accomplished musician, Jim Rutkowski can best be described as a musical chameleon. He posses a rare ability to break down and teach as well as to share the stage with the industry’s most influential musicians. Jim has performed with Doug Wimbish, John McCarthy, Jonathan Mover, and Jerome “Big Foot†Brailey among others.
Jim’s smooth legato, eight finger technique and keen sense of melody can be heard throughtout his upcoming debut CD, “In Flamed Passion,†which skillfully blends Classical, Jazz, Latin and Shred into a unique sound. His diverse musical experience keeps him in demand as a session musician for artists recording in the Northeast.
In his private studio Jim lends his knowledge to more than 80 students per month ranging in age from eight to 85. As a member of the Rock House staff Jim works directly with the creator of the Rock House Method on product development with musicians such as Alexi Laiho, Rob Arnold of Chimaira, Atreyu, Marc Rizzo, Job For A Cowboy, David Ellefson, Leo Nocentelli and many other Rock House artists. He is known as “Professor Jim†on www.rockhousemethod.com, where more than 100,000 registered members from over 140 counties can access his workout routines. Several theory books authored by Jim will be published by Rock House in the fall of 2008.
