I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a firm believer that Movies are still in their infancy and that Film is the last frontier of art, where all the different facets of the arts can come together to express something that couldn't be expressed in any one other way. Other interests of mine include: Laserdisc and dvd commentaries, criterion dvd booklets, Rear Window Ethics, Reading, Tacos,Hot Dogs with Apple pie, Bacon in Waffles, and foie gras. I'm not much for partying. I enjoy small gatherings of close friends and maybe a little blowout on occasion. I love my huge family even though we seem to only get along in small groups. I value my time alone as much as my time with others. I tend to protect myself from others who feel a need to control and manipulate me. I prefer to do things in my own time, and very much my own way. I try not to ask much of anyone and have zero expectations and tend to get the opposite in return. I'm a great listener and observer. Seldom heard or seen myself. I resent "gifts" with invisible price tags. I'm not the kind of man to ignore or hide what I feel, but I am careful of who I reveal such vulnerabilities to. My truest friends respect and support my choices and do their best to understand the actions dictated by my own individuality. Other interest of mine are: Movie Posters, Record collecting. People of rare character, Miniture everything, Collapsable everything, The prospect of knowing a person and them actually knowing you in ones lifetime. The Overworld, Old Typewriters, Old Books, Old Binnoculars, Old Knives, Whatever is behind the gullibility of the masses. Human Behavior, Human Science, Human Alchemy, Human Conundrum, I am a master of being misunderstood (what can I say, it comes naturally to me.) Cooking(Eastern European, Hawaiian, and Puerto Rican cuisine currently). Arts in general, Philosophy in general, the duality of man (really), Femme Fatales (my biggest flaw), Chewing gums that are back in style. I also enjoy watching kung-fu with my morning coffee. I can't explain it. It just works. I have a special interest in unconditional love and the truth. I am allergic to bullshit. It's a miracle I'm still here.
I enjoy small gatherings with friends. I LOVE MY FRIENDS--GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY.
"If your going to try. Go all the way. Otherwise don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives, jobs, and maybe your Mind. It could mean not eating for 3 or 4 days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery. Isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it, and you'll do it-- Despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you could ever imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter.
It's the only good fight there is." - Buckowski
