About Me

I'm Jen. I've been married to my husband for over four years. We live in Rockford, IL and I work in Wisconsin as a social worker. I have one niece who is almost 4 and a nephew who will be born soon! I hope to have children of my own soon since I work with other peoples' children all week! I'm shy until I get to know someone and then I'm outgoing and fun. I have a sense of humor and I am stubborn, but easygoing. I hope to meet new friends and reconnect with those I've lost touch with.

My Interests

I like to sew. I'm on a quilt making kick right now, so if you are a friend of mine, expect a quilt before the year is done! I also like to cook, read, crochet, watch movies, laugh, spend time with my husband and family and relax. I am a dj on FatCat Radio which is an internet radio station I co-own with my husband. I enjoy broadcasing my two weekly shows and finding new independent bands to play. I love to go to live shows and see the bands I play on my show. It makes me feel all special and stuff. I also like to drink PBR. :)

I'd like to meet:

I would love to meet anyone with the same interests as me and anyone I can have an intelligent conversation with! I would love to meet new friends! Most of the people I would really like to meet are dead, so... I've loved Chris Noth and Dan Majerle for as long as I can remember, so it would be nice to meet them.

Music:

I love music! My favorite mainstream bands are AC/DC and Queen. I also love Stevie Ray, Motorhead, old Metallica, Nashville Pussy and good classic rock and metal. I've been listening to a lot of classic country lately and I really like that too. (You know...when it was good? Cash and Waylon and Willie and good honky tonk...) I'm don't really like the current music scene, but I like a ton of independent artists and have seen many in concert in the last year. American Dog and Broken Teeth are two of my favorite.

Movies:

I love comedies like Tommy Boy, Animal House, Super Troopers, Beerfest, You Me and Dupree and Napoleon Dynamite. I also like Quills, The Deer Hunter, the Saw series, Rocky Horror and Seven. I'll pretty much watch anything with a good story.

Television:

I love the History, Home and Garden, Discovery and Learning Channels. I like reruns of Roseanne, the Golden Girls, Seinfeld and my newest find, M*A*S*H (I'm addicted). I also watch Law and Order, Grey's Anatomy, My Name is Earl, the Office, Project Runway and of course, the NFL!!!

Books:

I love to read. I'll read pretty much anything that is well written. The bigger the book, the better.
