The story of Bjorn Kaarud starts back in the mid 90..s when he grew up in Oslo (Norway). The rave culture had just exploded in the town and the new ..wine.. was just getting warm.
As a member of a local DJ crew he was already receiving big interest for his new cool sound. As the time passed, this youngster started spending time with the older and more experienced jockeys. They saw his talent and offered hima warm up session in one the hottest clubs in Oslo. For Bjorn (or DJ Fun:Key as his name was at that time), this was just unbelievable
and he promised himself to deliver the goods. By the time he had finished his set the crowd was going crazy. And this was the start on a great
journey through Oslo..s partyscene. With residencies on house venues and
morning clubs he quickly became a familiar face in Oslo..s underground scene which was huge in the late 90..s. In a short time he was playing alongside legends like Timo Maas, Josh Wink, Benjamin Bates, Judge Jules and so on...... In the start of the new millennium Bjorn started to get a interest of making music, not just playing it. So he set up his own home studio where he spent a lot of time in the months that followed. After just a year of producing, his first record deal was made. He got signed
to the "all mighty" Olav Basoski..s former label; Work Records. This was a huge honour for Bjorn. The "Spanish La Luna EP" was released in July 2002, and went straight to 3rd place on "DanceTrendsEurope" chart. The record was well received by other dj..s and producers, and it was the most
played track by Stonebridge for two months in a row. This also gave him an opportunity to visit other countries in Europe to play his sets.
In the years to come, Bjorn played at every big event in Norway, every
houseclub in Oslo and released several new records.
