Agents of Groove

About Me

Funk, soul, bossa and jazz: these four elements come together to form the music known as “Acid Jazz”. Acid jazz has the groove of dance music but the spontaneity of jazz. It gives both to the audiophile, the spectator, and the dancer a reason to not just listen, but to be fully engrossed into the music. It is a music that has a broad spectrum of listeners.
Yet it is hardly performed anymore. Acid jazz is a form of music that the average performer can’t perform. Although seemingly simple in some aspects, some players try to concentrate on their individual performance and ruin the vibe of the music. Others end up playing one long endless loop that becomes boring to both the listener and the player. Acid jazz is an art of balance.
This is a balance that the Agents of Groove have mastered.
The Agents of Groove are a collective of musicians and artists that understand this balance. They have played various genres and all play at a high level, yet it’s the fact that they love music that makes them different. You can just play an instrument, or you can let that instrument translate your passion. And this is all reflected in their successes.
The Agents of Groove are equally comfortable in a dance hall, night club, or jazz club. They bring with them the skill to play some of the most intricate jazz but the soul to create some of the most grooving music out in the scene today. They bring with them the subtlety of a poet, but only to shoot it up with some high-calibre fire-power and send your body and soul into frenzy.
Be sure to check them out. Your body and your soul will thank you.
