Between mid 80's and mid 90's Dorance clocked-up an impresive track-record as a Tres player,Guitar,Bandola,Bass and Vibes player,Arranger,Musical Director and Producer on the colombian and international salsa scene.Dorance has been involved as a player,arranger/producer with:
Los Del Caney,Fruko & Orquesta,orquesta Matecaña,Octava Dimension,Los Titanes,Sonora Miami,Proyecto Omega,Orquesta Kamaleon,Los Nemus Del Pacifico,Orquesta Canela,Kike Harvey,Santiago Ceron,Cali Aleman,Checo Acosta,Orquesta Internacional Los Niches,Conjunto Son Del Barrio, and Hanny(London 1996) among others. The year after relocating to London in 1995,he organised SEXTETO CAFE with a line-up inspired by the great Vibes-led latin combos of the 50's and 60's.Dorance Lorza & Sexteto Cafe has already released three albums
