I love just hanging out with my girlfriend.(In case you havn't noticed I'm head over heels for this girl) We love going to concerts. We've gone to alot the past month. The Strokes twice, The Raconteurs, Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips, Be Your Own Pet ,and the Black Lips. And last year we saw The White Stripes three nights in a row in Boston.(Thats when we started dating) We also love watching movies and playing with our dog LUCY.
I'd like to meet alot of people. None of whom i'm sure I will ever meet.
In my opinion The White Stripes are the best band making music right now. I cant even begin to express my love and respect for them. Other bands making music now that actually matter are the Strokes, Arctic Mokeys, The Raconteurs, Kings of Leon, Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips,Wilco, Yeah Yeah Yeahs(especially fever to tell) Be your own pet and The Black Lips. Bands from yesteryear that I love are the velvet underground/ Lou Reed, David Bowie (Pre 75'), The Stooges, MC5, New York Dolls,Rolling Stones, Gun Club, T.Rex, Bob Dylan. I also like a few singer/songwriters Springsteen, Cat Stevens, Neil Young. And thanks to Jack White I also Love the blues1 I love Son House! Blind willie mctell and Howlin wolf are great too. Plus many many many more.
My favorite move of all time is Edward Scissorhands. It has been since I was seven. Johnny Depp is defenitely my favorite sctor. Fear and loathing in las vegas, Blow, and Whats eating Gilbert Grape are great movies. I also like the creature from the black lagoon(But not nearly as much as my brother does. He has a whole arm dedicated to creature tattoos) and all the other original universal monster movies. I love the movies eternal sunshine for the spotless mind, garden state, labyrinth, the goonies, fight club, seven, wedding crashers and any Jason movie.
The last book I read was called Please Kill Me. It was about the rise and fall of the punk scene starting the the velvet underground and the mc5 and ending around the CBGB era I think. Its been a while since I read it. It has interviews with the musicians, writers , and artists who were there and lived it. Its a great book. Just don't let anyone see you reading it because with that title they will defenitely arrange an intervention to save you soul.
