Hi! My name is Makare (aka Miss Fortune)..
In 2006, I created a cabaret troupe, Le Cabaret Gothique, which debuted at the Newtown Under the Blue Moon (UTBM) festival. Le Cabaret Gothique performed at the Lunamorph Fashion Show in May 2007, which I also emceed as my Le Cabaret Gothique character Miss Fortune.
This September, Le Cabaret Gothique featured at the UTBM festival and supported Lola the Vamp’s Bohemia show at The Gaelic Theatre.
Le Cabaret Gothique is the first gothic cabaret troupe in Australia. The group comprises of:

The music of Le Cabaret Gothique covers music theatre to dark contemporary pieces. Some show stoppers include Bring on the Men, Wilkommen, I am a Vamp and When You’re Evil..
Makare (aka Miss Fortune) Bio
Makare discovered her passion for performing when she was just 10 years old. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM). Makare has studied Music Theatre, Jazz, Opera and other singing styles. She has also studied various types of dance such as flamenco, ballet, and tap.
Makare has trained in vocal groups and as a soloist where she has been led to destinations such as Paris, London, Switzerland and Vienna. Makare has featured in Showcases, Cabarets and played principal roles in theatre productions at AIM and other societies including Babes in Arms, Les Miserables, Grease and The Pirates of Penzance.
