I've been in DC now for a few months, and I'm FINALLY starting to get out to see the city. I've been faithfully devoting all my time and energy to work: public affairs for the Navy. Fortunately for me, I absolutely love what I do, so I haven't felt locked away. However, after prompting by some key people, not the least of whom is my mother (no doubt jealous because she lives in central Florida), I have started to hit the DC sites. Hopefully within the next few months, I will take them all in and will be able to serve as a tour guide to any of my friends who want to come visit.My grandparents want to know if I've been corrupted by any evil, self-serving politicians yet, and I can gladly say I haven't. I'm sure as I spend some more time around town, I'll meet some politicians, but what are the chances that they'll be evil and self serving?
