After operating musical instrument repair shops for other local retail stores, I decided in June 2005 that it was time for me to open up my own shop. Here at VMIR, I complete repairs on guitars, basses, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, violins, violas, etc.I'm looking to form long-term relationships with my customers and my approach to doing repairs seems to be a bit different from other techs. I like to talk with you about what YOU want from your instrument instead of telling you how it "should be". Most of the time, we can get pretty close to what you want. If not, I will tell you--I'd rather be honest and turn down a repair than complete something that I know would be disappointing.I understand that it is just not practical to ask a musician to go without their instrument for a long period of time.
