SOFMOURE (IS NO MORE, THANK YOU EVERYONE!)

About Me

Put an image at the top of your profile!
Sullivan County New Yorks Sofmoure distributes their progressive rock music for a fun show and enjoyable listening. This 5 person band's positive and exciting energy on stage that stimulates the crowd.
Other than being a female fronted band (which we are thrilled to see so many female fronted bands breaking through the industry!), we all have different tastes in music individually. There for, our music is a happy/medium of all the music we are into. It's also compelling to play to a crowd who may all have completely different tastes in music and still enjoy what we play. Our ultimate goal as a band is to spread our music for all to hear. We say this not in terms to consume fame, but to have more people understand the meaning in one song again. Lately it seems in this industry it is difficult to find that "hit", that one song that has everyone wanting more. We have come to find our selves working very tediously with each song to make sure that there is NOTHING we regret adding to a song or taking out of a song when we are finally finished. The genuine joy in what you have just made is the best feeling one could ask for. Our goal is to convey that feeling to the rest of the world.

PRESS
"Garage Band Bonanza: The Art's Annual's current favorites [local bands] include Sofmoure (melodic alt-rock with a hint of emo)...keep your eyes peeled for these and other bands. The youth rock scene may just be the craziest, best-kept secret in Sullivan County's cultural pantheon." - The Art's Annual 2007
" Rock For A Cause: 'metal for mellitus' is a benefit concert for the Catskill Regional Medical Center diabetes education efforts, held my two local bands Vespers and Sofmoure" - Sullivan County Democrat
"Rockin The Shed: There are so many awesome female fronted bands breaking in through the industry. I see a revolution emerging. A revolution in Rock."
