Ross Krutsinger is a Nashville session bassist and jazz artist whose creative and versatile playing earns him work with dozens of recording projects and countless live shows. Ross records, tours, and co-writes songs with independent and major-label artists alike, anchoring the rhythm section while playing 4, 5, and 6 string fretted and fretless electric basses, acoustic upright bass, or keyboards. Ross performs in all genres of music-- from jazz, funk, reggae, and Afro-Cuban, to country, rock, gospel, and bluegrass. Ross's style is shaped not only by the music he performs, but by his favorite musicians: Wayne Shorter, Sting & the Police, Toad the Wet Sprocket, DADA, Steel Pulse, the John Coltrane, Jaco Pastorius, James Jamerson, Robben Ford, Michel Camillo, and many others. Ross brings a positive energy and professional work ethic to every gig, plus the ability to read standard notation, number charts, chord charts, or simply play by ear. Ross's in-the-pocket playing, listening skills, and ability to create the right parts keeps him busy in the studio and on stage.
