About Me

Hi, I'm Michael. I've been involved with music for all of my life. Drums are my main weapons of choice. I have, however, learned guitar, bass, and a little keys so that I could write songs and music pieces. Some of you (in the Atlanta area) may be familiar with my participation up until a couple of years ago in the rock/progrock band, Karma Lingo. I was also a founding member of the Renaissance Festival sensations, The Lost Boys. michael's project came about in 2001/2002 as an umbrella under which I could compose and record my music, sometimes organically and with help in a studio, sometimes with just my scoring tools on the computer. The former example led to my solo CD, "balancing on the side of a circle", recorded in 2002 at the house I shared with a now ex-bandmate who had a fairly decent recording set-up. It was definitely a DIY effort, and while I'm decidedly not the best vocalist in the world, I remain happy with the results. Because most of my life has found me behind the drums in my various and sundry musical pursuits, singing was never a focus for me. Subsequently, I found musical outlets in instrumental pieces. Some of these works will eventually find their way onto a CD of their own. Demos of these are included here. Thanks for listening. Enjoy.
