This is an event that was started by Jont (www.jontmusic.net) who organized and ran with it in the UK and just recently in the US, depending on where he was, for the last few years. It is not about money. It is free. Its about putting a bill of three or four artists together- normally songwriters and bands but there have been dancers, classical musicians and poets: the more eclectic the better. Before and after the live music a DJ or an ipod plays music and we hang out. The gig normally starts when there’s the right amount of people in the room - no specific time, and the set is fairly brief: just a couple of songs from each act, normally completely unplugged. Ladies and gentlemen, if you really want to get to know your acts, this is the gig for you. Stop on by lets get to know each other.
