About Me
I was born in Bronx, NY in 1959. Moved to Miami Beach with my parents and older sister in 1970. I graduated from the University of Miami in 1981 majoring in Physical and Health Education with a minor in Athletic Training. In college I was the manager of the Women's Intercollegiate Volleyball and Basketball Teams and played on the Women's Intercollegiate Softball Team. I also own and show horses, Appaloosa and Quarter horses and have placed high at The Appaloosa Nationals and Appaloosa Worlds and have made the finals at The Quarter Horse Congress.
I have always been interested in Professional Wrestling and attended the matches at The famed Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach...Those were the days my friend.....Became close friends with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, my Dad (God Rest His Soul)was a famed Jeweler in Miami Beach and made engagement rings for Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and countless Jewelery for other wrestlers! To this day I can still call them my friends.
Fast forward to Early 2001, I ran into Dory and Marti Funk, and the rest is history. I have been the Head Referee for Dory's Promotion in Ocala, Fl for 7 years now. I have gone on to Referee for Carlos Colon in Puerto Rico, The Hart's in Calagary, NWA Wildside in Cornelia, GA, NWA Georgia (Now AWA World 1) in Valdosta, Ga and countless other Indy Feds. I am currently being used once in a while as a Referee for TNA Xplosion in Orlando. That is an honor! I have been proud to be a referee in such profile matchs as: Dory Funk, Jr. vs. Jeff Jarrett for the NWA World Title, Dory Funk, Jr. vs. Sabu, Dory Funk, Jr. vs. Samoa Joe, Dory Funk, Jr. vs. Tully Blanchard,Dory Funk vs. Christopher Daniels, and matches that have included: America's Most Wanted, The Rock N'Roll Express, The Midnight Express, A.J. Styles, Steve Corino, and countless others.
I have also been wrestling for the past 3 years, and my hightest profile matches I have been in were with: GAIL KIM, Lexie Fyfe for the NWA Women's Title, Missy Hyatt, Sumie Sakai, Simply Luscious Ronnie Stevens, Loreili Lee., Malia Hosaka. I have the pleasure of being trained by and working with the best trainer in the world, DORY FUNK, Jr. For more info and pics, go to Dory's Website at www.dory-funk.com. I only wish my parents could be here to see how I turned out, Mom and Dad, I love you, I know you are watching...Well, on Feb. 25th,2007 Gail Kim turned on me and made it a 3 on 1 and helped the PopTarts win the Tag Belts, payback will be sweet!@! Payback turned out to be sweet as the Poptarts turned on Gail Kim in our 4-way for the Women's Title (Gail eliminated them in this 4-way elimination) and clocked her over her head with some flowers, knocking her a little senseless and that paved the way for me to pin Gail to retain my Women's Championship! However, I would like to wrestle Gail again in a one on one, fair and square match....Gail is tough as nails and one of the best in the ring.....we will meet again one day! And that day is hopefully coming! In the meantime, I regained the Women's Championship on 10/28/07 in Ocala, FL......will be tough to hang on to...The Return match with TNA Knockout Gail Kim has been signed! Sunday night, March 23rd in Ocala, FL, Gail Kim will have a chance once again to wrestle me for The Funking Conservatory Women's Title....boy oh boy, this one will be tough, when that night is over, who will be the Women's Champion? Come to Ocala on Sunday March 23rd to find out!! Well, on March 23rd, Gail Kim pinned me to become the New Funking Conservatory Women's Champion, congrats Gail, but I want a rematch, and it will happen soon....
