About Me

Bob Moog once referred to C.S. Lanham as "the only artist he'd ever met capable of vocally emulating analog drift." Pitchy as a canoe in the open seas, he's been called 'the man who needs no Mic,' or "the voice of a generation......of deaf-mutes" and even "that loud jackass in the back," but there's so much more to great music than mere vocal utterance, or the ability to play one's chosen instrument with any degree of proficiency as anyone who has heard Him can attest. This enigmatic and frequently misunderstood character has been confounding listeners and delighting distillers for decades with His complete and utter disregard for sobriety and social norms. Founder of the French super rock group "La Bicyclette d'Henry", the flamenco based trip hop band 'La Moto del Henry' and best reviled as the mastermind behind the progressive rock/gospel fission of American based project "Henry's Bike" the elusive Lanham and His methaqualoned Muse have remained unburdened by such ephemeral factors as good taste or talent. When asked about His days as David Allen Co-founder of the now defunct "Rockingham Lane", a Latter Day Saints expansion of the equally defunct "Marijuana Catfish" He glibly remarked that "an old band is like an old lover"sic" I hope she rests in all her pieces."Currently found staggering around His very real job at The Fortress Of Solitude, there is a rumored renaissance with several new projects straight out of the rubbish bin. After having fired His left hand from the terminally acclaimed power trio "The Damned Lanhams" He has most recently been touring with international roustabouts "Regional Sausage" and has made numerous personal appearances on the sofas and kitchen floors of Doctor Kitty, transcendental luminarie Chainsaw Red, and most recently a rather large carboard box behind a Seven Eleven. All in all, a busy season for a man whose calling in life it seems is to curse and throw things...
