Malcontent Entertainment - now with added gin!

Got into putting on DIY gigs in Sheffield in late 2005/early 2006, have put on a few vaguely successful(ish) shows so far, looking to do another one in August, heard a wild rumour that apparently it's possible to use the internet to promote musical events and signed up here. Motivated by a love of the awesome underground culture of Sheffield, and a hatred of the fucked-up world we live in, so I'll mostly be doing benefit gigs, but I may at some point in the distant future attempt to do a gig where the bands actually get paid... I'll also be mainly doing punk/HC/ska gigs, just because that's what I'm most familiar with, but I do have vague intentions of doing something more varied and eclectic in the future... I'm rambling.Anyway, at the moment Malcontent's a bit of a one-punk operation, but if you want to get involved please please get in touch, since I don't really have a fucking clue what I'm doing.Also, as of July 2007, this is now also the official site of Misery & Gin zine, because I couldn't be arsed setting up a separate page for it.
