Liz Fando

Liz Fando is an abstract musical journey from Istanbul, Turkey.a duo of Osman Kaytazoglu and Berk Gokberk, was formed during the Psychoacoustic course at Bogazici University in 2003. Mathematician Osman Kaytazoglu and computer scientist Berk Gokberk started to apply psychoacoustic principles to abstract electronic music forms, inspired by the illusions of human brain and ear. Soon, their experiments were disclosed to public through an open lab: Psychoacoustics 101, radio program prepared for AcikRadyo. There, they continued to analyze the grammar of audio and discover new connections in the spectra ranging from silence to noise. musically described as "...mind-altering psychoacousticians" by Rob Young, Liz Fando is truly searching and experimenting music in the ways like Morton Subotnick or Harold Budd did before.Since their formation, Liz Fando non-deterministically appears on various live/non-live events.
