The history of the band began not so long ago. It was in the winter of 2006 that destiny brought together this trio – Denis «Den» Poluyan (drums), Misha «Mik» Marinichev (bass) and Sasha «Jason» Nasonov (guitars/vocals).
Even before forming All Stars Grey the guys had managed to participate in various bands though the names of those are unfortunately lost for history. Den and Jason have known each other since childhood; they lived in the same neighbourhood and together made their first steps in music. Then their paths led them in different directions only to bring them together again two years later as All Stars Grey. So at that time the band already had drums, guitars and vocals. What they still lacked was bass. That was how Mick joined the team.
The fact that none of the band has a musical education does not prevent them from making music on a high-quality, professional level. The lyrics of the band are in English for they think this language more expressive and emotional.
So far ASG have participated in the projects Tribute to Nirvana, California Party, New Wave, Skate & Punk and Tumba Fest together with such Belarussian and Russian bands as KROK, Karavan, Lucky Mistake, My Ocean, Usplesk, GSM, Anyway, SNOG Na GOLOVU, Smekh, 1,5 kg of Excellent Puree and many others.
On their credit side the band has cover-versions of such all-time hits as Drain You by Nirvana and Take On Me by A-ha. In their work ASG were and are still inspired by such groups as Rufio, Missing Pieces, Mest, Relient K, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory.
In spite of the fact that it hasn’t yet been a year since the band was formed, they have already managed to record their first single Without You consisting of four songs. They chose the Selakh Studio where such famous bands as Krambamboulya and Lyapis Troubetskoy work. One of the songs is planned to be videoed.
In autumn of 2006 second guitarist Sasha «Alex» Grigorjev joined the band and the trio became a quartet. Because of unrecovered reason in the beginning of 2007 drummer Denis left ASG and his place was taken by Pasha «Bongo» Ermochenko.
ASG say: We love music in all its manifestations, trends and styles. We are different, but united in one thing: our humble art is what draws us together. We are convinced that our interest in beautiful, intelligent and kind music that we make will never leave us.
