About Me

Hey Kids! Well, first off, please ... if you're going to visit MYspace don't be afraid to say Hi! I currently live and work in New York. (Yes, I am on a leave from Wicked to do the new Will Smith movie. This explains my new found appreciation for hats, as we have to be bald for six months during the winter for the movie.) I am very blessed to have a wonderful partner, a great family, understanding friends and two sweet dogs; that all generously love and support me. They, and God, make it possible for me to be where I am today...

My Interests

Reed --
[noun]:

A person who laughs at anything (even this entry)

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.comMy interests change a lot depending on my life and my surroundings, but these few have remained pretty constant ... physical activities i.e. dance, the gym, yoga, horseback-riding, aerial/silks, and inline skating. Along with interests that aren't directly physical such as politics, world affairs, ancient history, Earth/Cosmic Science, poetry/literature, music, gardening, real-estate and beyond all that ... trying to further myself towards becoming a better human being. And as of late, I have developed a small love affair with learning sign language. Oh, and I like shinny things, haha!

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet a really great maid-service that comes in and cleans your place for free. Maybe they could even do a load of laundry ... What? It could happen. The clip below is hysterical to me, which alone is probably going to incur me some really bad karmic-payback onstage one day, but ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you anyways ...i cant dance

Movies:

I love movies old and new; Low Budget or Blockbuster it doesn't matter to me, but here are a few that come to mind in no particular order: Love Actually, Gone With the Wind, Casino, Sphere, Cabaret, All That Jazz, Death Becomes Her, Dirty Dancing, Party Girl, The Cutting Edge, Singing in the Rain, Top Hat, The Wizard of Oz, A Street Car Named Desire, White Christmas, Trick, Broken Hearts Club, All the Harry Potter Movies, Bent, 28 Days Later and I AM LEGEND (hehe, had to slip that one in, it's paying my bills!)

Television:

When I do have a chance to watch television I am a fan of Gray's Anatomy, Weeds, Project Runway, Nip/Tuck, Family Guy, and Larry King Live. You can just about never go wrong by me with anything on the Discovery, Science, or History channels and you can throw in HGTV and the Suze Orman Show and I'd probably be ok.

Books:

Off the top of my head I would have to say my favorite books are: Spot's First Walk, The Hatchet, The River, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer’s Night's Dream, The Giver, A Light in the Attic, Where the Sidewalk Ends, Falling Up, The Giving Tree, The Alchemist, all the Harry Potter books, The Scarlet Letter, Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Conversations with God, The Truth About Money, and Great Expectations.

Heroes:

Everyone who is close to me in my life is a hero of mine, each for a different reason: they all exhibit characteristics, in one way or another, which I would easily deem heroic. All that said, Robin (of Batman and Robin) has always qualified in my book as well.
