HEY! I know you, I never forget a face - but in YOUR case I'll make an exception.

About Me

I'm a laid back easy going guy - probably the most anti-emo person you would ever meet. I was born in NJ and lived most of my life there until the age of 16 when I moved to this area. I graduated from North Schuylkill and moved back to NJ for a couple years until I moved back here for good in '88. I'm pretty much a family man and a home body. My wife Lori is (and always will be) the love of my life and my best friend. With the exception of me going to work in Reading, we've been pretty much inseperable since 1983. I have two great teenage kids - Derrick and Breezy. I couldn't ask for two better kids - well behaved, polite, good students, a lot of fun and with a bunch of nice friends (OUR STEP KIDS). If I'm not at work you can usually find me farting (literally & figuratively)around the house or out in my workshop doing something.

My Interests

FOOTBALL is my favorite sport but I follow just about all the major college and professional sports. Yes - I admit it - I am an ESPN junkie. NOTRE DAME is the pinnacle of college football!! I had to sign a waiver in order to be born stating that I would swear allegiance to, root and cheer for the Fighting Irish for the rest of my days - my Irish heritage demanded it - and I am fullfilling that obligation.PHILADELPHIA EAGLES are my NFL team. I've yet to see them win a championship in my lifetime - and probably never will see them win a championship in my lifetime.
Richard Childress Racing - I'm not a huge NASCAR fan but I've always liked RCR. It's nice to see his teams are doing well once again. I like to do my families genealogy (family tree) when time permits. It's interesting (to me anyway)to find out who and where your ancestors are from and what skeletons you can find in your family's closet. I know that I'm TOTALLY 100% BONA FIDE IRISH and I have well over 1000 people in my family tree dating back to the 1790's.

I'd like to meet:

JESUS CHRIST - the bravest man to ever walk the planet. A man who sacrificed His life for mine and yours for no other reason than that he loves all of us.EDWARD VAN HALEN - easily the greatest rock n roll guitarist (and no it's not Estaban!) to walk the planet. I remember winning Van Halen's first album down at Seaside Heights, NJ in the summer of '78 and being hooked the instant I heard his solo - "Eruption".CLINT EASTWOOD - the greatest tough guy actor to walk the planet. NOBODY is a tougher cowboy than Clint! The hat, the glare, the little stogie in the corner of his mouth and the lightening fast draw - he just oozes cowboy.CRISS ANGEL - the greatest illusionist to ever walk the planet. The guy is just simply amazing - just how does he do those illusions? If you never caught his show on A&E - you're missing out. He's is a Mindfreak and he has David Blaine beat by a mile.MY ANCESTORS - who did the toughest job on the planet, mining anthracite coal in Schuylkill Co., PA. I've done a lot of researching of my family tree. To get a better understanding of what these people did in order to survive I read local history books on those subjects. Coal mining then (and still today) is one of the hardest and most dangerous jobs on earth. I don't know how they did it their whole lives, some of which were not too long of a life.

Music:

These are my favorite guitarists. BUCKETHEAD tears it up playing his song - Welcome To Bucketheadland.Obviously Van Halen is my band but I can listen to just about any kind of music and depending on my mood - any genre of rock 50's thru present, some country, some gospel, some classical, a little jazz but never (and I mean never) rap or hip hop. That stuff is complete garbage with no redeeming qualities about it whatsoever . But for the most part 60's, 70's and 80's rock is my main flavor of music. If I'm not listening to my own stuff on CD or MP3 - I'll be listening to 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia or WZZO (Z95) in Allentown. I played some trombone and drums in school but never took a real interest in them. Always wanted to learn the guitar but never found the time to do it. THE RAMONES - a great band that made blistering two and half minute songs that could make you feel exhausted. Very loud, very ugly, very to the point, very comical, very legendary. I had the good fortune to meet Joey Ramone in Florida back in '90. He was a real nice down to earth guy. I got a photo with him and we talked for a minute or two. A nice memory now that he's gone.

Movies:

I like action, comedy, dramas and some horror movies. Here are some of my favorites in no particular order: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Fist Full of Dollars, Outlaw Jose Wales, The Unforgiven, Hang Em High, Pale Rider, Mad Max, Road Warrior, Braveheart, Cinderella Man, The Patriot, Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, (the original) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Tommy Boy, Animal House, Blues Brothers, Jaws, Halloween, Money Pit, The Passion of the Christ, Batman, Spiderman, X-Men, Elf, Saw, Young Frankenstein, Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption.

Television:

I don't watch too much of the reality trash that's on TV. The only regular show I watch is CSI or reruns of Seinfeld and Star Trek - The Next Generation or Bugs Bunny cartoons. The rest of the stuff I watch is ESPN, Mindfreak, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Monster Garage, American Choppers, FOX News, This Old House or some old movie. If all else fails there's always the Weather Channel.

Books:

The Bible, just about anything written by Dr. David Jeremiah about prophecy, fiction once in a while, newspapers, any kind of history (especially local history)and some biographies if the person interests me. Crossword puzzles and Sudoku puzzles are big favorites of mine.

Heroes:

Philadelphia Cheesesteak with sauce, onion and peppers, an Italian with a little mayo, touch of oil and hot peppers... Oh, do they mean the other kind of heros? the unedible ones?In that case they would be Jesus Christ, my mom and dad, my wife Lori, Derrick, Breezy, Pastors Dave Berry and Mark Prugh, anybody that ever (or will in the future) serve in any branch of the United States military, the underdogs of the world, the people that stick up for the underdogs of the world, honest people, people that DON'T go with the flow, people that help people out just for the heck of it. People that go out and work for their money, day in day out, no matter how rotten their job is rather than sponge off of Joe Taxpayer and collect welfare.. IT'S BUM HAND!!!
