Michael `Joka` Jackson and Dario Jared Thorington both reside in Jackson at the current time. They started rapping (2002) when a friend of theirs said he wanted to start a rap group named the diamond studs. It was supposed to 5 guys and a girl but the idea sank heavier than the titanic.joka and Dario decide to keep penning lyrics and free styling through the years .They used to battle against one another but decide it would look dumb for two guys in their own home town to be at one another throats when they should come together as one.
So after they saw more rappers emerging on the local scene they took there writing more serious and in 2005 started doing underground recordings to get practice for studio time. after tearing up holes in many beats by, tupac, 50 cent, nas, jay z, notorious big, the game (almost every chart topping single) Joka approached one of the Poundas and he told Dario to take a cd with 2 freestyles on it to the Poundas, while en route to the Poundas Dario saw a friend of his named Jamar Tudor a.k.a Looney Bim. He let him hear the freestyles and Jamar told him he makes beats and after giving the Poundas the cd that they never linked up with. Dario called jamar shortly after and bought the crazy phone beat and penned the song shake it like dat which was recorded and produced by Looney bim .After telling Joka about Jamar`s producing skills Joka decide to get a beat build for him and he came up with the street anthem called get back. The song that has every one buzzing before radio release is a song called 1 hood which was written by the two of then while arguing what the game’s new single one blood would sound like. Chanting one blood one crip they decided to keep the hook for themselves singing 1hood 1 click which brought out 1 hood that reps their hood to the fullest which was produced by the foxhole who Looney told them about and they got him to build the beat.Joka is the level headed one who has the energy of the dirty south who while Dario is a laid back lyricist who speaks his mind on record and off. These two young rappers are down to earth and jus patiently waiting for the right time to do what it takes to triumph over these fake rappers.
