boom chick bo boom chick
Jazz drummer Jochen Rueckert releases his first arrogant electronic music effort, tragically switching to an even more unpopular genre than modern jazz. Choosing his innate cardiac arrhythmia as his alias, Wolff Parkinson White brings together extreme rhythmic complexity a la Venetian Snares and a unique harmonic approach. Programmed mostly in hotel rooms around the world during the last two years, the album boasts 10 fast-paced songs rich with odd meters, breakbeats, quarter tonality and digital experimentation.Ranging from the frenzy of cut up metal- breakcore "reincarnation and world population growth" and the beat/drum - less tranquillity of "the lord is always on my guestlist" , the album concentrates on ever changing soundscapes, yet still manages to weave in a string of snide remarks on the state of modern electronic music, leaving the listener restless and confused.
The packaging is entirely Velcro ensuring the album will be as uncomfortable to touch as it is to listen to.
Enjoy.
