About Me

I practice Ayurveda. Some people call it the oldest living system of natural medicine. Others call it the way they live their lives in harmony with nature. I think it's constantly evolving - and that each of us has something to contribute. We all have the capacity to experience truth, and Ayurveda is about how to move through this world embodying that truth. ~~~~~~~Ayurveda is for everyone, because it's about valuing each of us - just as we are today - with no judgement, and no criticism. Sure it's about herbs and using food as medicine, but it so much more. By seing every human condition as a manifestation of the 5 elements, finding balance is about nothing more than shape-shifting the elements so that our unique gifts can be offered to the world without being obstructed or hidden behind walls of fear. I mean come on, who wouldn't love to practice seing the world this way?! Endless possibilities for joy...~~~~~~~I teach yoga. In a new kind of way - that at first feels scary... not because you're upside down, thinking you'll fall and break your neck, but because it looks different, and sounds different. ~~~~~~~But once I moved through the scariness, I couldn't stop practicing. Because this yoga is out of this world. Literally. It takes the mind to a place of stillness that even meditation for hours upon hours doesn't guarantee. By using sound, fluid movement, and a strong awareness of the breath, the body naturally rids itself of its old patterns... including those really common things that seem to plague us all - fear, trauma, abuse, tight hamstrings - you name it. ~~~~~~~So every morning I embark on a journey towards freedom. And every day I pracitce how to communicate my truth to the world in a way that is compassionate and kind. I practice letting go of that which doesn't serve my highest intentions, and allowing in those things, people, and experiences that raise me to that place of absolute freedom - that freedom that allows for honest expression of true love.
