Philip Sindy is a most frequently booked trumpet player based in Berlin - Germany. Having studied at Academy of Music Berlin and at the Royal Academy of Music London he never misses the oppotunity to get to play with artists from all over the world. He already had the honor to work and perform with artists like ROY AYERS, HARRY CONNICK JR., THE SUGAR HILL GANG, KURTIS BLOW, GURU (JAZZMATAZZ), MS. DYNAMITE, ESKA, ESTELLE, TY, OMAR, DWELE, JAMES KAKANDE, BILAL, NNEKA, JAN DELAY, DEMDEMANN, CLUESO, AYO, PATRICE, DIE OHRBOOTEN, MARQUESS, BARBARA SCHÖNEBERGER, LES NUBIENS and many, many others.
He performed in clubs, on V.I.P events and galas as a jazz-musician or for lounge-sets with DJ (i.e. Hahnenkammrennen Kitzbühel 2007) but also venues like Tempodrom Berlin, Arena Treptow Berlin, Cologne Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic - to name only a few - and for TV productions (LIVE-BAND FOR GERMAN MOVIE AWARDS 2008)
He appears on several records from artists like UDO LINDENBERG "Stark wie Zwei" (WARNER - awarded Gold and double platinum), DIE PRINZEN, MUHABBET (SONY/BMG), MAYA SABAN (EMI), on the Soundtracks for the movies PORNORAMA (BERND EICHINGER/ music MOUSSE T. / CONSTANTIN FILM / UNIVERSAL) AND LEROY (X-FILM / FOUR MUSIC - WINNER OF GERMAN MOVIEAWARD FOR BEST SOUNDTRACK 2008) as well as URMEL AUS DEM EIS, or on commercial - spots such as FANTA CITRELL and PORSCHE.
Philip founded with his 3 "cats" THE HORNSTARS - a frequently booked hornsection for live performance and studio-sessions. Besides playing the trumpet he is also a reliable arranger for horns.
