About Me

Mike Couchman did not know he was white until 7th grade, according to his mother. He grew up loving Hip Hop, Top 40, Rock, House, and anything but Country or Classic Rock.When he turned 18, he gave up his pirate radio stations for a job at a Jazz-Alternative hybrid station. From there he went on to 3 different Country stations (he ended up appreciating the style). Then it was "Christian" radio once. Then back into mainstream radio. This time it was Mike's FAVORITE format: Top 40. He learned the most at Top 40 stations in Detroit and Lansing. Then it was back into "Christian" radio to apply Top 40 strategies. The goal: to give modern people a healthy alternative to mainstream Top 40 music that sometimes pollutes the soul.
