BIOGRAPHY
Withered was born from a little mistake of Faun and Mistur called Myrkraöfl. Myrkraöfl was a black metal band that lacked enthusiastic musicians, so Faun and Mistur were basically the whole of the band, thus it slowly died. Autumn 2003 they got in touch with Gahagan (guitars) and later with Sarn Athrad (bass) and the result was "How Can the Hollow Dream….?". That demo was first released on CD-r by the band in ca 25 copies and then later by Death Triumphant rec. in Belgium. The first live performance December 21st 2003 at the annual Icelandic anti-christian festival and since then Withered have played several gigs. Ways were parted with Sarn Athrad in 2005 and went on to other projects, Faun and Mistur are featured on the Curse album, Slaughter of the Stars, out now on Blackmetal.com Records and Faun and Gahagan are now focused on ATRUM. The debut album has been ready since October-November 2004 and it’s finally out on Electric Horizon Records, a new Icelandic record company. Order it directly from the band today.
