Amezcua Glass

My name is Manuel Amezcua, and I've been flameworking since 1996. I have worked in various studios around Eugene but I currently work in my home studio. I also have been teaching at Eugene Glass School, U of O Craft Center and starting in August at Chemeketa Community College in Salem. I Love working with glass, I never imagined I would come into a profession that would consume my whole life as glass. Even my wife and three children are involved in some aspect. I have a great time teaching. I like to share my skills and experience with others who are eager to learn. I also like to learn from those who are eager to share.Working at EGS has allowed many opportunities to meet and work with some of the world's top glass artists and since I have been there everyone has shown nothing but love and support in reaching my goals. Some of the artists who I've had the honor of meeting and working with are Dave Willis, Mike Plane, Thomas Muller Litz,Marcie Davis, Stephanie Sersich, Dustin Tabor, Charlie Lowrie, Roger Parramore,Will Menzies, Corina Tettinger, Leah Fairbanks, and many others. They have all influenced and inspired me in some way or another, not just in technique but in attitude towards my work and understanding of the flameworking industry alltogether.
