Formed in early 2005, friends from school formed a band and it went from there. The band consists of Sam Schirmer (lead guitar, vocals) Rhys Higginson (guitar) Stewart Siegert (bass) and Tim Wood (drums).Kilburn have been playing local gigs for the past couple of years and have been writing original material throughout that time. They recorded for the first time in January 2006, a four track demo entitled 'Kilburn'. They made around 200 copies of the demo and sold them at their local school TRAC and around Wagga.Then around six months later they headed down to Studio 52 in Melbourne to record the album 'One Way Getaway'. They recorded 9 songs for the album and the CD is out now through most music stores in Wagga.As a part of the recording program they did, they headed back down to Melbourne for an Awards night held for the 70-odd bands that participated in the Kool Skools program. They opened the awards night and also took out 2 awards, Best Rock Track and Best Rock Band.
They have recently returned to Studio 52 as part of an "Uncovered" recording project sponsored by Alpine Electronics Australia, this CD is out now and is available on i-Tunes and has some of the hottest young bands featured on it. - We are now currently demoing for our next album and playing as many shows as we can. -SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC!!!Directions Of Reasoning
