Alan Fugate

It seems like I have been playing music since I could walk. I have been a drummer since '92 when I joined the Jackson City School Band. The next year I transfered to the Breathitt School system so that I could participate in a better band program. I joined the jazz band in high school to learn a new style of playing. I hate jazz but I respect those drummers who play it well. I also participated in Pep, Concert, and Marching Band. After high school I started playing with a few different bands and playing the clubs. I love all types of music but southern rock is my favorite. I am very influenced by bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, BTO, and even some country groups like Alabama, and Hank Jr. I am currently plaing with The Hard Dollar Band. I have been with the band for about a year and play every weekend. Travis, Bill, Phil, and TJ are considered family to me. I started singing a few weeks ago, I am not great but practice makes perfect. I am also a novice guitar player but what can I say I love playing music. The only "big" show that I ever played was opening for Ty Herndon in October '05. There were about 2000 people at the show and Hard Dollar got alot of great publicity from it. Outside my music I have a beautiful wife Cassaundra and little girl Abigail. They are my life and I couldn't ask for a better family. Thats about it, I'm not the best around and I will probably never hit it big but I love what I do. Special thanks to all of our fans that support us every weekend.
