I was born in the city of Toronto. My family decided to move when I was just a baby to a small town in Ontario called Tecumseh. There I spent my formative years attending French language school. As a child I was always a big dreamer and with an overactive imagination – scaring the other children in my class with made up stories of my supernatural powers – I was unbelievable.
After receiving a culture shock from a summer holiday spent in Europe at age 15, I knew that I needed bigger, even more exciting things in life. I wanted to live somewhere other than the small town that I was growing out of. At age 19, I eventually realized one of my dreams and moved to the big city of Toronto, my place of birth, where I always felt a strong connection. I put myself through school while working as a bartender/waitress in some of the biggest nightclubs and high profile restaurants in the city.I left the service industry once I was finished with school and worked in the corporate world of marketing and advertising for about 7 years. Was great while it lasted but I was seriously in need of a career change. I wanted to feel good about what I did at the end of the day; not to mention, I needed to do my own thing, something creative. I’m a sensitive person and a real feeler – I couldn't hack the cut-throat atmosphere of the corporate world any longer. I decided to turn my hobby and passion into my own little business venture; today I work as a freelance photographer.
Besides my daughter who really is the centre of my universe, my passions are obviously photography, fashion, dancing, music, anything creative; and I have a love for people. Fascinated by other people’s lives lived, I am constantly learning about the world through my own life experiences and also through other people’s journeys told. I think I’m a natural ‘people person’ and when in the mood I have the ability ‘get the party started’ and to keep the momentum going. I love humour – dry humour and sarcasm – my favorite friends are those who can make me laugh and laugh at my quirky humour as well.
What I truly would love is to move to a deserted island – live in a hut just off the beach amongst the trees - hunt and fish for my food – grow some kind of garden maybe – sculpt and paint all day… That will be the life… one day...
