Moichido

[ENG] Moichido is a 28 year old composer based in The Hague, NL. He's been experimenting with different software since 1999, trying to create and adapt various styles he likes and mold them into one entity. He's influenced by his study of graphic design at the Royal Academy of Art, as well as the underground scene, hiphop, experimental electronica, the early days of UK breakbeat and everything else that tickles his taste buds. Moichido co-released his first track titled 'Etves-Nal' on Antilounge II a label promoting The Hague's experimental artists. In 2006, on Antilounge IV, his second release 'Frequencies For Nantoiu' was warmly received and gathered many positive reviews. His sound is a unique arrangement of breakbeats that hop from one passage to antoher, while maintaining a strong melancholic and erie aftertaste. Though he still sees himself as a bedroomcomposer safe and sound behind his desk, he plans to be experimenting more with live performances in the near future.Recently he performed live at the Dutch radiostation RadioWest and at State-X New Forms, a festival for avant-rock, cutting edge electronics and media-art.Pictures and movies of this performance will follow soon.
