About Me

One Of a Kind
Keisha Evans, born and raised in the Bronx with her 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Her mother being a single parent they struggled every so often. She always wanted to be successful someday, some how and be able to take care of her family. She was always interested in school and music. She always took an interest in female rappers. The ones who inspired her the most were Salt -n- Pepa, Left Eye, and Lil' Kim. At the age of 13 she wrote her first rap, Xclusive was excited but at that moment she didn't take it too serious. She kept her rapping a secret and she didn't tell anyone not even her mother. Then one day Xclusive finally let her mother hear her rap and her mother said she was actually good. So from that day on that built her confidence and she started rapping for people. The name Xclusive was given to her by the bouncers at Skate Key; Xclusive being the person that she is the name Xclusive suited her style and personality so she made it her rap name. She was always different and unique. Everyone knew her for her multi-talents. Xclusive always stood out because she never liked to blend in. name.At the age 13 Xclusive first cipher was at a party with Remy Ma. In high school she became very popular as a rapper, people used to form crowds around her when she free styled. She performed in all her school talent shows.
Ready For Take Off
At the age of 14 she was discovered by a female manager named (Kay Kay). At that time, she started recording her first demo. Her first big show was in Hostoss College. A year later she was introduced to a female singer. The two formed a group called Get Madd. They both had creative differences which later separated them in a year. That's when Xclusive fell back from music for about a year; she had to regroup herself first by starting with letting her manager go. Xclusive felt she was leading her in the wrong direction. By the summer 2004, Xclusive started working with Dj Webstar. He became her manager. They were like partners but after a few months she started to see changes in Webstar, he wasn’t very reliable. In 2005 they also had their creative differences. Around 2006 Xclusive and another female rapper (Tokyo Diiva) formed a group called Xclusive Divaz. Xclusive felt the chemistry early so they flew to Atlanta to perform at the Apache Cafe; the feedback was great so they decided to work on their demo. They were so ambitious they even snuck into the record labels but that didn't get them anywhere. About 6 months later, nothing was getting accomplished, so Xclusive decided to go her separate way. Xclusive decided to became a solo artist again. She worked extremely hard. She became her own manager. Xclusive did everything on her own. She paid for her own c.ds, posters, found her own shows, and paid for her studio time. Xclusive felt she was doing very well for herself.
Hard Work Beats Talent
After about 2 years of working on her own, Xclusive realized she needed help. Xclusive’s mother and friends could do but so much. She needed a manager and promoter. Xclusive felt an artist should be an artist. November 2008, she finally gave up. Xclusive had to ask God for the answer and hope he would lead her in the right direction. A month later she was introduced to "Money Mark" who later became her manager. Now Xclusive is currently developing herself as an artist and she will soon reach stardom.
