I'm originally from southern California but I grew up traveling around the world. I've lived in Colombia, Mexico, Singapore and England. The one constant in my life has always been music. It seems I always go back to music from the '70's, especially punk rock and glam. Along with music, I love movies; everything from the silents on. I particularly love black and white films. As a kid my Dad would buy us Mad Magazines and I also read Archie comics. As fate would have it, I ended up marrying a cartoonist. My husband Gilbert, wasn't doing comics yet when we met. But he and his brother later started a comic called Love & Rockets (this was 1981. The band took the name a few years later, in case you're wondering). We now live in Las Vegas and have a beautiful little girl who thinks it's normal to watch old b&w movies and listen to Devo and have a Dad who draws comics for a living, and a Mom who loves to cook and carries a camera around at all times.Gilbert and I made a dvd called The Naked Cosmos which is too hard to describe.
