Created in 2000 by DJs Tom Swift, Jizosh, and Bo United House Front's aim was to bring a group of fun loving house heads together to throw house-based music events in the Seattle all ages scene. Our focus was one of funk and disco -- a sound rare to the Seattle scene at this time. After successful events such as "Deep into the Vibe" (2000), "Soul Vibrations" (2001), "Will Spin for Mt. Dew" (2001), "T & A" (2001), "Game On!" (2002), and "Heart and Soul" (2002), and multiple Phoenix Festival stages, UHF ventured into the 21+ scene with a wildly successful weekly club night "Four Star" (2004), and assorted one-offs featuring guests such as Rick Garcia, Jay Tripwire, Dubtribe Soundsystem, Disco D, DB, and DJ Assault.
As UHF has aged, and tastes have changed, we now host events that continue to break the Seattle house music mold by transcending the artificial genre boundaries created by scenesters. UHF continues to focus on house, but now includes forms such as tech, electro, disco punk, commercial, electroclash, progressive, deep, mashups, funk, bassline, speed garage, glitch, broken beat, indietronica, and whatever other silly names one can come up with. Also, UHF members work outside of the standard 4-on-the-floor incorporating two-step, grime, indie, drum and bass, techno, hip hop, trip hop, and psy trance. We strive to throw FUN, UNPRETENTIOUS, ass-shaking shows that move us as much as they move you.
