I began my musical journey almost as soon as I was born. Coming from a family of piano players I was destined to play the keys. I went on to play the trombone at age 11 and would continue throughout my school years playing in concert band, marching band, and orchestra. In addition to playing the trombone, I played jazz piano in my high school stage band.
It was in 1967, in San Diego, Ca. that I joined my first rock and roll band as a keyboardist. My first keyboard was a Vox Continental but it wouldn’t be long before I got my first Hammond organ and the love affair would begin. I have been playing the Hammond organ in one configuration or another ever since.
I applied my skills on the Hammond organ and piano in both the Kansas City blues circuit and San Francisco music scene before moving to Albuquerque, NM. My funky organ and boogie-woogie piano can be heard on many Kansas City and San Francisco recordings.
I have had the privilege of sharing the stage with, recording with and/or opening for such notables as Lonnie Brooks, Sherman Robertson, Tab Benoit, Tommy Castro, and Elvin Bishop, to name a few.
I now play the Hammond organ and piano in the Albuquerque area.
