hello my names clive hodgson i'm 59 years old and i'm a rock n roll disc jockey from nottingham england, my favourite artists are jack scott carl perkins johnny horton clyde mcphatter wynonie harris big joe turner to name but a few so you can see the kind of music i like. i play vinyl music and have a very good collection of rock n roll records after collecting for over 40 years with about 90% original and still collecting, Over the years i've met and interviewed lots of original fifties stars, my favourite being the great Bill Haley who i spoke to in his dressing room at the Ladbrokes lucky seven bingo hall in Nottinghams victoria centre in 1974, We spoke about his life in rock n roll and what his plans were for the future, he (Bill Haley) told me he wanted to continue singing and playing to his legions of fans for as long as it was possible, he also said that he wanted to open a hostel for down and out musicians from the rock n roll era, which i believe has now been made possible and has come to fruition due to the early work put in by Bill, i thanked him for the few moments we had together then went out in the audience to watch a true legend at work, sadly bill did not get back to these shores again.
