the word "mayday" is an emergency code word used internationally as a distress signal in voice procedure radio communications. It is used to signal a life-threatening emergency by many groups, such as police forces, pilots, firefighters, and transportation organisations.
renés first got his first experiences with music in his early childhood at the age of 6 when he started to play the wood-flute...two years later, mainly influenced by his parents and the point of time, rené started to learn the trumpet and so he continued studying at the local music-school for 6 another years!
at the age of 14 everything changed completely: heavy influenced by local youth movement, anarchism, beer, skateboarding and other mind-expanding things, rené got hit by this loud, powerful and very simple (mostly just three chords played) music called (hardcore)punkrock...full of youth rebellion and a new state of mind he decided to quit playing the trumpet!
2 years, many bloody skateboard-bails and many sweaty punkrock-shows later some friends and he decided to form this hardcore-punk-band called THE VELLOCET EFFECT! they played together for the next 6 years and split up in summer 2009! during this time he educated himself in playing the guitar, learned from his friends how to make arrangements, to build song-structures and he made his first steps in this mystical media of producing electronic music...in this period of time, rené even got into his first goa-trance gathering...and again, everything changed!!! ;)
